Stunning pompom flowers in a mouth-watering cantaloupe color make Echinacea ‘Cantaloupe’ a must-have for sunny perennial borders and pollinator gardens. This showy coneflower opens with individual petals surrounding a rounded central cone, then develops into full, fluffy blooms in warm shades of melon, peach, apricot, and soft orange.

Also known as Cantaloupe Coneflower, this long-blooming perennial brings bold color and sturdy texture to cottage gardens, cutting gardens, wildlife plantings, and summer borders. Bees and butterflies flock to the nectar-rich flowers, while the strong stems make excellent cut flowers for fresh arrangements. Its warm coloring pairs beautifully with purple salvia, blue grasses, yarrow, zinnias, rudbeckia, and silver foliage.

Plant Echinacea ‘Cantaloupe’ in full sun with rich, well-drained soil and moderate water. Deadhead to encourage more blooms, or leave late-season seed heads for winter interest and visiting birds. Durable, colorful, and wonderfully floriferous, this is a standout coneflower for long-season beauty. Explore more garden favorites in our Explore more pollinator-friendly perennials.
